Worked example: an 8-page PDF rendered at 1.5x scale

Upload an 8-page A4 PDF, choose PNG format and 1.5x scale. The status text updates in order from "Processing page 1 of 8…" to "Processing page 8 of 8…", adding one thumbnail per completed page, then switches to "All pages are ready." Each thumbnail has its own download link with a fixed filename pattern like page-1.png, page-2.png, so renaming them in sequence is up to you if you need to combine the files.

Each page has a 16-million-pixel cap on width times height. A typical A4 or Letter page stays far under that limit even at 2x scale (about 1.94 million pixels), so only very large formats such as posters or architectural drawings tend to trigger it. JPG quality is fixed at 0.9, and there is no adjustable quality slider in the interface.

What happens past the page limit, and how to verify the output count

If the PDF has more than 20 pages, the tool throws "A maximum of 20 pages can be processed at once" right after reading the page count and before rendering starts, rather than rendering the first 20 anyway. But if the 16-million-pixel cap is hit partway through rendering, the thumbnails already generated stay on screen and only the run past the oversized page stops — a partial-success state. In that case, download the pages already produced first, then deal with the oversized source page separately.

The simplest way to verify the output is to compare the number of thumbnails against the original PDF page count, then zoom into one or two images to check that text stays legible. If the images are going into a slide deck, preview them at their real display size inside the presentation software rather than judging only from the browser thumbnails.
